Leaving.

Echoes of my dying foot steps,
And fond memories of a love cherished:
Shall, at cock crow, die.
Perhaps it will be a gesture of relief,
From a dreadful battle for freedom and dispossesion.
I will together bundle my nothings,
And accompany darkness to nowhere--
Never to return!
